I specialise in photographing people and places…in the news…or who should be in the news .I try and tell stories with photography, especially about the strengths of working class people doing things for themselves. I am a Brummie by birth and proud of my roots in the industrial heartlands of the United Kingdom.
My main work is around environmental photography, people building lives in new and different ways. I also cover all area of politics with particular interests in the politics of small practical campaigns ; I also cover local politics in the West Midlands.
I have spent a lot of time photographing those involved in building new and sustainable ways of living, such as the community on the Isle of Eigg in Scotland.
I have a background in the Trade Union movement and have been an active climber and mountaineer.
I have a 1st class degree in Visual Communications (photography) from
