A great event, which I spent getting rained on and taking snaps of the background. Really well organised by the city council with good media support. Hope this becomes a regular event.

David Byrne

David Byrne is doing a gig at Symphony Hall here in Birmingham on 29 March 2009.

Byrne is one of my favorite artists. I have seen him perform with the Talking Heads quite a few times over the years, the first time being way back in 1977 at Barbarella’s here in Birmingham (as the backing band to the Ramones!). I have my tickets….

The BIRMINGHAM Eid Mela was enlivened this year by a Kabbadi match. A totally wonderful event and really great to photograph. Some of my pictures taken are linked here. I have successfully sold a couple to Asian newspapers.
